I’m too lazy to write about the dinner I had with the amazing Christina, especially since she has already done it here!
And some gratuitous cutest featuring my boys and their new haircuts: Hudson 4.5, Link 2.5

I’ve moved my blog over from Blogger. Sorry blogger, but your features have always kind of sucked.
Lots has been going on, as usual. I’ve been working, Mike has been traveling and the kids are having a blast with Sarah and being in the pool every day. We are in the dog days of summer here in the Sunny South and it’s HOT. Next week my sister (in law), bother and sweet niece are coming for a visit where we’ll head down to the beach for a few days – an annual tradition for the last ~8 years.
Last week Anthony, Penny and Daphne went hiking in the Canadian Rockies. We haven’t done that with them since 2006 (I think). After that we all started having babies and such. We plan to go again – once the little ones can carry their own packs and walk with their OWN legs!
Hudson and Link have grown consistently closer now that they spend their days together. This photo was taken just today at the Durham Museum of Life and Science:
My Crossfit Bestie Christina from I love feta cheese are I are still crossfitting as I sadly count down the days until she moves to DC for her new job. :: tears::
Note Xtina’s olympic lifting shoes. We’re both kind of obsessed with our ‘Olys’ these days.
Luckily I have many other great friends at the Box and I’ll continue to be inspired by them.
Vickie and I also ran the Peachtree Road Race again this year. We PR’d by a few minutes, probably because we didn’t drink a bottle of wine (each) the night before like we did in 2011. Oooooops.
Camille Leblanc-Bazinet is my hero. Watch her crush ‘Fran’ in 2:29. And I need the Lulu speed shorts in this color (I think it’s either Antidote or Lime).
This was yesterday’s WOD:
5 Rounds for time
3 Junkyard dogs
30 Toes to Bar
20 Half Moons (14lbs for the ladies)
200 meter Fireman’s carry (Yes, Christina and I had to carry each other to the end of the block and back FIVE times!)
When I received these two videos from Sarah during the middle of a hectic work day it made me stop in my tracks and forget about whatever new web site feature I was planning or financial report I was running. I thought my heart would swell and burst with love for this kid. Hudson has made some huge strides in the last few months in sharing with and caring for his brother. He’s in a learning stage and regularly reminds me that ‘he’s already 4!’ (even though he does not turn 4 years old until next month).
Pretty sure Link will be a rockstar when he grows up.
I work for a retailer and it is crazytown around here these days. It’s 3 days before Christmas and we’re still working our buns off with no end in sight. Luckily Christmas shopping is done, Mike did not get stuck in Boston this week as feared and returned home on time and we are not traveling this year.
But there has been a bit of fun, like last night’s Candlelight Yoga at Lululemon with some friends.
My friend Christina blogged about it here.
